Directions
- Sauté the garlic and onion in a pan with olive oil for 5-10 minutes.
- Blend the can of tomatoes down to a creamy consistency - I use a hand-blender and blend right in the can. Click here for the blender I bought on Amazon. Cheap, and gets used VERY often!
- Add all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil while mixing. Turn down heat to a simmer and let cook for 25 minutes. Make sure to keep stirring every 5 minutes or so to ensure the sauce doesn't burn on the bottom of the pot.
- Optional - separately brown up and separate about 1/4 cup each of ground beef and spicy Italian sausage in a pan and add to the simmering sauce for a delicious meat sauce, perfect for spaghetti!
