Homemade Meatballs
Take the time to make these homemade meatballs instead of buying premade, and your family will love you forever!
Ingredients

½ pound 80/20 ground beef

½ pound spicy Italian sausage

½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs

â…“ cup milk

1 small onion, diced
-
4 cloves garlic, diced
-
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tablespoon ketchup
-
1 tablespoon mustard
-
1 egg
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1 teaspoon sea salt
-
1 teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon each; cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes

Yield: 20'ish meatballs

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and Italian sausage by hand until uniform.

Add the milk, egg, ketchup, breadcrumbs, mustard and Worcestershire sauce to meat, and continue to mix by hand until everything is combined.

Add the spices, garlic and onion, and again mix together until uniform.

Add olive oil to a large sauté pan and turn to medium heat.

Roll meatballs into desired size and place into pan to crisp the outer layer. This should take roughly 3-5 minutes, turning continuously to make all sides evenly cooked.

Transfer meatballs from pan to oiled cookie sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or so. Check the temperature. You want to see about 160 degree F internal temperature.

-Optional- Add meatballs to your marinara sauce and simmer for an extra flavorful creation!
